1701 Toomey Road, Austin — learn about the lounge ›
It's not a fad — it's the fastest-growing studio workout in the country, and it's finally landed at 3rd Eye.
It looks like a medieval bed frame. It's actually the most forgiving piece of equipment in fitness. A padded carriage slides on rails, springs add or remove resistance, and straps and a footbar let you push, pull, and stretch from every angle.
The trick: springs work both ways. They can make a move harder for the strong, or support you through one you couldn't do on the floor. That's why a first-timer and a ten-year veteran can take the same class.
Yoga and breathwork taught us to slow down and open up. Pilates teaches the deep, boring-but-important muscles to hold it all together. Together they're the whole picture — which is exactly why we added it.
Grip socks recommended. Everything else is on us.
Every class right now is Reformer Foundations. You'll learn the machine, the basics, and how to move well before anything fancy.
Fits before work, on a lunch break, or between school pickups. Low impact, full body, no sweating through your shirt.
One reformer per person, one teacher watching every rep. You'll get real cues, not a class where you hide in the back.
Pilates uses its own passes — class credits and memberships don't apply. Not sure where to start? The Intro Offer is the move.
