Climate Calm: An Earth Inspired Yoga Practice

Join us during Austin Climate Week for a 75-minute Earth-themed yoga practice designed to reconnect body, breath, and planet.

​This all-levels class will move through sequences inspired by the elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—inviting stability, flow, energy, and openness into the body. We’ll close with a guided Earth meditation focused on gratitude, connection, and hope for the future of our planet.

​Whether you're a longtime yogi, a climate advocate, or simply someone who loves the outdoors, this practice is an opportunity to pause, ground yourself, and remember the deep relationship between personal wellbeing and the health of the Earth.

​*This event is donation-based as spots are limited. Donations go back to the Joon Community to help support the organization of events such as this and the broader ATXCW. We want this event to be accessible to any and all that could use community and co-regulation around this topic. If you are not in the financial position to donate, please know that you are still welcome and there is a minimum of $0.*

Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat. If you dont have a mat, there will be a limited quantity available to borrow for free. There will also be a limited number of other props, such as blocks, that can be borrowed for free.

Meet your hosts


Jayd is a 200-RYT instructor and has been practicing yoga for 12 years. She now mainly teaches Vinyasa and Yin style classes with an emphasis on using breath as a guide for whatever the body needs that day - expansion, grounding, movement, or stillness. Throughout Jayd’s classes she will offer you options to challenge yourself or go deeper, but also encourage softness and listening to you...
Jayd is a 200-RYT instructor and has been practicing yoga for 12 years. She now mainly teaches Vinyasa and Yin style classes with an emphasis on using breath as a guide for whatever the body needs that day - expansion, grounding, movement, or stillness. Throughout Jayd’s classes she will offer you options to challenge yourself or go deeper, but also encourage softness and listening to your own unique body and taking what you need. Teaching feels very intuitive to Jayd and she hopes to share the light of this practice that she loves so much with her students. Besides being trained in Yoga, she has a Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies and a Masters degree in Sustainability Management. So she connects deeply to many yogic philosophies such as the Yamas & Niyamas as well as the overall concept of interconnectedness.
